Advice For The Day
Hello Everyone!
I don't know who's been reading or visiting or whatever but I'm going to keep writing.
I am going to apologize for not posting yesterday, as I had intended posting daily and such... I'll apologize at the end of this one (...just chill). And this takes me to today's topic...
In my years (...lol), I have learnt how important time is but because I feel she will always be there, I keep taking her for granted. As I have learnt - more times than I can count - delaying will not get things done... like right now, my clothes are prolly like "hehehe... Monday, you wee smeh, Tuesday, you wee smeh, Wednesday, you... infact you go jezz dey smeh dey go... hehe"

Procrastination
Yesterday was a busy day (it really wasn't) for me. I had a performance with CEDARS at Marlima Quadrangle by 3 p.m and it was also my project supervisor's birthday (some of us from my class had planned to surprise him with a birthday card and a cake by 4 p.m).
I woke up early in the morning and as usual to the bright screen of my laptop (this has been happening too often for my comfort). Anyways, I woke up and lazied about for about 30 minutes, then I went over to my friend's room to "collect information".
By 11 a.m, I was back in my room with the intention of cleaning up; I took my rag out to air-out, swept, brought out my dirty clothes to wash but for some reason the time was 12 noon (...how?). I rushed to bathe, had to wait a little as there was someone bathing there already. I took my bathe, got ready for the performance and by 12:38 p.m, I was already at the venue but no one was around and my phone was off to call. I went upstairs to D'daniels Group' s office to confirm that they weren't there either... they weren't. I was bummed. Then, I remembered that we were meant to have met by 10 that morning to do a final run-through for the dance... I got so moody.
I turned on my phone and called Nnenna who told me that they were all heading back to the office from Lawn tennis pavilion (face drop). I waited in the office till about 1:07 p.m when I saw Daniel and Chidinma walk into the office... then I got sadder (you don't need the rest, I guess)...sarcasm was shared around the room, indirect comments as well and a whole bunch of other stuff.
By about 3:30 p.m or so, CEDARS went down for the performance. It was AWESOME!!! After that, we headed upstairs to pray and then I left. I went to my room to change only my shoes and then I hustled my way to Ezeopi junction and finally to my supervisor's house (Fun! FUn!! FUN!!!). Onovo and I cleaned up the kitchen and then we were taken to our hostels.
When I got to my room, I thought about washing my clothes...
I am now awake at 7:14 a.m and my clothes are on the floor, my shoes are dirty, my bedspread is ugly and my hair is to die for... I am now thinking
- I should have washed
- I should have changed my bedspread
- I should have conditioned my hair
- Ouch! I shouldn't have slept with my arb on
- OH ISHT!!! I haven't done any of my assignments
- I should have not d... lemme not say this one
GET YOU ISHT TOGETHER AND MAKE GOOD USE OF YOUR TIME... don't do what I have been doing my whole life (delaying).
